1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. It is used, among other things, to remember information about your browsing.
2. Our approach
This site uses no cookies, whether for tracking or advertising. We do not track you from one site to another, we do not build any profile, and we do not share any browsing data for marketing purposes.
3. Audience measurement, without cookies
We measure this site's traffic to know which pages are useful and whether the site loads fast enough. This measurement is handled by our host, from our own domain, and works with no cookies and no identifier stored on your device.
- What is counted: the page viewed, the page you came from, the device type, the country, and the loading speed
- What is not done: no cookie is set, no cross-site tracking, no reselling, no targeted advertising
- What we see: totals, never an identifiable person
This measurement neither reads nor writes anything on your device. As such, and because it only serves our own statistics without being shared, it is not subject to prior consent.
4. Technical storage used
The site only uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) for a single, strictly technical purpose: to remember that you have closed the privacy information banner, so it is not shown again on every visit.
- Name:
kodex_privacy_ack - Purpose: not showing the banner again
- Nature: functional / essential, not subject to prior consent
- Duration: until manually cleared by you
This storage contains no personal data and is never transmitted to our servers or to third parties.
The site also uses session storage (sessionStorage), cleared as soon as the tab is closed, to remember where you arrived from. Details are explained in the next section.
5. Source of a contact request
If you write to us via the contact form, we attach to your message the origin of your visit: the site that sent you to us, any campaign parameters present in the address, and the first page you viewed.
This serves only one purpose: knowing which effort made you aware of us. It's what lets us keep doing what works and stop what doesn't.
- Name:
kodex_provenance - Nature: session storage, no cookie
- Duration: cleared as soon as the tab is closed
- Content: the referring site, campaign parameters, the entry page
These values stay in your browser and only reach us if you submit the form. If you don't submit it, they disappear without ever having left your device. They are not shared with any third party and do not allow any cross-site tracking.
6. Managing storage
You can clear local storage data at any time through your browser settings (under "Site data" or "Clear browsing data").
